Questions & Answers.

The name Olilou Dalmatians is derived from my two eldest sons’ names, Oliver and Louis. It’s a tribute to them and a reflection of our family’s deep connection to our dogs.

Dalmatians have been a part of our family for generations. My aunt and uncle, Pat & Mick Stanton, of the acclaimed Salsusa Lines, were at the top of their game for many years, producing numerous champions. I am fortunate to have them as mentors, and I continue their legacy with two Salsusa girls in our breeding program.

Our puppies are raised on our family farm located in the picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park. This environment provides ample space for them to play and grow alongside various farm animals, resulting in well-socialized, happy dogs accustomed to children and farm life activities.

All our puppies go through a thorough health regimen, including a Baer Hearing test, a vet check, and a worming program. We also ensure that dew claws are removed and provide a Royal Canin puppy pack to support their early development.

Each puppy comes with KC registration, a 5-generation pedigree, dew claws removed, a worming program, a Baer Hearing test, a vet check, an Olilou blanket and toy, and lifetime support via email and telephone. Additionally, each puppy comes with 5 weeks of free KC insurance, activated on the day the puppy is collected. We strive to ensure that our puppies are well-prepared for their new homes.

Yes, we do. This endorsement is placed on the puppies’ paperwork via the Kennel Club when they are registered. It protects our lines and prevents people from breeding without proper knowledge of the dogs’ pedigrees. We may occasionally lift these endorsements at our discretion, but only if the dog in question is suitable for breeding, conformationally correct, and has passed all relevant health tests, such as hip and elbow scoring.

Yes, we do. This contract is signed by both parties on the day you collect your puppy. It ensures that if, for any reason, you are unable to continue caring for your puppy, the puppy would be returned to us for rehoming (not resale). It’s our responsibility to do right by our puppies and find them another suitable home.

Yes, we do. We want to make the transition to their new family as happy and calm as possible. We also provide socialisation ideas and tips, and we encourage you to attend puppy classes in your local area.

Yes, we offer lifetime support via email and telephone for all our puppy owners. We are committed to ensuring that both you and your new puppy have the best start together.

Absolutely! We have extensive experience in exporting dogs abroad and can assist with arrangements through the reliable companies we have worked with. We aim to make the transition as smooth as possible for our puppies and their new families.

Our breeding stock is evaluated yearly to ensure they meet the highest health standards. We select only the healthiest examples of the breed, bred from champion lines, ensuring that our puppies can excel in any sphere.

I am currently on JEP Level 2 and working towards Level 3 in judging Dalmatians. I thoroughly enjoy the judging journey and am dedicated to maintaining high standards in the breed both in shows and in our breeding program.
